Genderqueer- someone who does not subscribe to conventional gender distinctions but identities with neither, both, or a combination of male and female genders. Non-binary- non-binary is a spectrum of gender identities that are not exclusively masculine or feminine- identities that are outside the gender binary. Critical theory emerged in the early 1990s out of the fields of queer studies and women"s studies. Explores the oppressive power of dominant norms, particularly those relating to sexuality, and the immiseration they cause to those who cannot, or do not wish to, live according to those norms. Gender and sexuality can be fluid, not static.
