One difference between native americans and europeans was that europeans hunted on horses with guns for pleasure, sport and prestige. In particular, they hunted bison on foot, as it provided them with food and clothing. Another difference was that a main food source for europeans was fish because it was cheap and abundant. Columbus, fishing was not an industry because the natives did not need it.
