After the squares are done, scroll down to insert model and pick part file. Empty views can be used as a way to hold information that isn"t shown in the model but is relevant to the drawing. Can copy 2d geometry from dwg or dxf files or add annotations. Click on empty view from view layout tab. Once the square is placed on drawing, can make a sketch on it. An assembly"s exploded state can be viewed on a drawing as long as the assembly already has an exploded view defined. View palette >> isometric exploded (for example). If you don"t see it, either your assembly doesn"t have an exploded configuration, or you might have to click the refresh button (two green arrows forming a circle) Any view can be shown in exploded state. Can right-click on view and choose show in exploded state.
