Ccd chip (charged coupling device)- captures the projected image that enters the camera. White balance: color balances with the light source. Matching sensor with my ccd chip light source. Formatting: erases all images and reformats memory card. Cause of lack of critical focus in a subject: not focusing on subject, having lens too close to subject than its ability to focus, not carefully adjusting focus ring of camera movement caused by slow shutter. !, lighting, iso #s (forces slower shutter speed). Depth of field: focus area between the foreground, middle ground and background. Short depth of field: plane focused on is sharp while others are in a soft blur. Long depth of field: when all the planes are in focus or sharp. When you have a long focus area and all three planes are in critical focus. Wide angle lens tends to render a longer depth of field. F stop: the measurement of the size of the lens opening.
