Evelin: i am from lima, peru and i came to study in the united states in 2008 to get my masters and doctorate. I spent my entire life in lima born and raised. Starting in youth, all students are required to learn english. It is a very important language, especially for careers in general. So, i learned to speak it when i was eight years old. I learned english separately from my high school. I would go to practice english on saturdays when i didn"t have classes. For particular schools, especially private schools, english classes are the best tools to attract prospective students. Only learning it for two hours each weekend is not enough. Evelin: no, because everything that has to do with getting my doctorate is in spanish. But, in fact, it is a little complicated, especially in the english courses.
