Structuralism- basic sensations and pieces of the puzzle. Functionalism- our behavior, thought, and feelings when the pieces come together. John watson- behaviorism- only thing that matters is what you see (doesn"t matter about past and future) all come from learning. Rodgers & mazlo: humanism- ways in which people try to grow and inherent goodness in people. Cognitivism- combines all theories: we interpret what we see and give understanding to it. Localization- different locations in our brain that control different functions (gal)- Fermiology- different bumps on the skull describe you. Phenias gage- the brain can be altered and still be ok, but it will affect the personality of the individual. Vision can be perfect, but the problem comes in the communication of the brain. Right visual field does not make it to the left side, and left visual does not make it to the right side.
