(its useful to look at common ansestors to answer this) Aristotle liked to ask why so an important aspect of animal behaviors is asking why it happens. Nikolaas tinbergen asked questions on roots of animal behavior. Which system is doing what its doing, and why. What happens to adults isn"t the same for adolescents. Every organism is placed here with the goal of reproducing and accomplishing survival. Behaviors can be useful or detrimental to that animal. Ultimate: survival value/ evolutionary and how has the behavior been shaped by evolution. Where did it start, where is leading to in the future.
