Variance: average of the squares of the distance from each data point value to the mean. Standard deviation: square root of the variance and provides a measure of the width of the data set. Standard error of the mean: standard deviation that is adjusted or corrected based on the size of the sample taken. Confidence interval: the range of values that is likely to contain the actual mean of the population. We believes the information on the newspaper and research tools are reliable, but those are all based on the postulations. Some of the data, information can be misleading. When we look at the data, the mean distribution and standard errors should be taken into consideration.
