Cant kill anyone with a meaningful future-future like ours, so cant ever kill fetus, even if mother was raped. Doesn"t make it clear if immoral to terminate pregnancy if mothers life is in danger, but this doesn"t happen very often. He doesn"t pay attention to origin of the pregnancy have much to do with what the rights are for the fetus in the case of rape. His entire argument is that its prima facie wrong to kill beings. There is a distinction between health of the mother and life of the mother. Rhetorical strategy: assume fetus is a person and see what ethical implications follow. Legal person vs. moral person totally different. Fetus"s right to life is more imp than mother"s right to body this claim has been made by ppl and she responds to it through the following thought experiment.
