Brock: what"s the landscape of rights and interests etc. Moral difference between voluntary active euthanasia and assisted: Does the physical role matter: the physician plays an active, needed role, with intention in both cases. If the doc isn"t" there it wouldn"t happen. Intent is there and cause is there: act doesn"t morally matter: imagine a doc doesn"t like a patient, doc gives lethal dose to patient and patient thinks it"s for gas so he takes it and dies. The doc says he didn"t do the final act so it"s not on him. That"s ridiculous so the final act is not the thing that matters from a moral perspective. If its against their wishes that says you don"t want to be unplugged and then you do unplug then its morally murder. Withdrawing life support amounts to letting a person die. Difference between letting someone die and active (assisted)-> there is a causal difference.
