Repression and recovery of memory of trauma: case of paul ingram, young women in a group therapy exercise recovers memories of fathers abuse as a child. No dead babies found: the police also didn"t find any scars from abuse. The purpose of statute of limitations is the idea that if someone is accused 20 years later they have no means of defending themselves. Life in prison based on the word of an estranged daughter: her trauma is highly selective she still remembers other details of her life like her father"s drunken assaults, survivors of the holocaust, they remember that experience. They may not remember all details, but they don"t forget it. How does that fit in with terr"s hypothesis: research shows that children who have experienced trauma have nightmares, inability to concentrate, no hope for the future. However, no amnesia: corroboration by terr: eileen said she became withdrawn after susan disappeared.
