There is a lot of false information out there, and it is important to recognize it: for example, data are missing or methods are problematic (unequal comparisons) Publication bias: research showing negative or no effect not often published: encourages altering the data for more positive results. Just because a test says a participant fits in a certain group doesn"t necessarily mean they do. If looking for statistical significations between groups, more people will produce a greater likelihood for significance. A result can be significant, yet not have much effect. On the other hand, you could have a large effect and not have statistical significance (likely due to sample size being small). Look at the characteristics of the people in the sample.
