The trends show that proper environmental regulations work in reducing peoples chemical burdens. Dioxin & pcb"s are byproducts produced when burned at the right temperatures. Dioxin is released into the air where people can inhale particles. Dioxin particles can also settle on grazing land where ingested by cattle & hogs, which then gets concentrated in the animal fat, meat & milk. Dioxin accumulates within fat, when breastfeeding large amounts of dioxin are released to baby. Yes, the epa reports a 1 in 100 chance of cancer in for the most sensitive people consuming a high animal fat diet.
