In operant condition, there is a presence of consequences and these can be good or bad things. Any kind of reinforcement in considered a reward, and any kind of punishment is considered bad. With that being said, there are two kinds of each: positive reinforcement getting something good, negative reinforcement taking away something bad, positive punishment getting something bad, negative punishment taking away something good.
