Affricates - stop + fricative sound (john [ n]) Baby talk words - start with labial sounds (mama, papa, etc. ) Part of the articulator (don"t need to remember) Sibilants - fricatives that don"t involve the lips (spanish for dog") Nasal stops - some of the airflow goes through nose.
