By 2100 sea level predicted to be around 18-59cm higher than present- therefore a severe tropical cyclone landfall along the louisiana/mississippi coast will be 4-5m higher than present height of city. Evolution od delta- river running across continental shelf incising deep river valleys, as ice sheets melted global sea levels rose (transgression) flooding the continental shelf.
