Essentially, all aspects of human actions and mental experience can be changed by learning. They can be affected by previous experience. Previous experiences can affect our emotions, drives, perceptions, thoughts, skills, and habits. Most psychologists are, in one way or another, interested in the role that experience plays in influencing the types of actions they research. Those who explain behavior most directly from past experiences with the environment refer to themselves as learning psychologists. They may also be conducting studies, both with animals and with humans, to learn the most effective ways of learning new skills but also partly from variations in past experiences. The differences between individuals in envy stem partly from genetic variations, Jealous reactions that prove successful in obtaining rewards such as those that succeed in repulsing rivals or gaining renewed affection from loved ones that increase the frequency with practice, and thus decrease ineffective reactions.
