There are four types of diabetes not including gestational diabetes. Diabetes has whole body affects because the body is unable to process sugar and is in a chronic state of stress and inflammation. Complications: heart disease, kidney disease, mouth periodontal disease, eyes blurred vision can progress to blindness, lower limbs vasculature issues, peripheral nervous system-neuropathy, diabetic foot. Type 1. 5 diabetes: also called slow onset diabetes or latent autoimmune diabetes of adults (lada, diagnosed in adulthood, has characteristics of t1 and t2 diabetes. Treated like t2: progression to insulin dependence in months or years, presence of autoantibodies, insulin dependence in years, some insulin resistance, constant state of immunosuppression. Constant pulling of energy and proteins from the immune system. Clumping and stickiness of the nerves cause disruption of messages. Omega 3 fatty acids work against tau proteins and prevent clumping. Lack of insulin has not been proven to be the direct cause.
