The uk dominated colonies around the world and brought back their resources back to england for manufacturing. England exported the finished products to the colonies. The rise of the middle class leads to demands for the extension of the franchise to all property holders (due to the growth of capital) Middle class = entrepreneurs and businessmen back then. House of lords wants to protect the poor, but the house of commons is growing increasingly strong and wanted to succeed and others can fall behind.
