Response: lombardi: the sport of football definitely affected the lives and experiences between characters. In a sense to lombardi, football was his whole life and his passion for the game in unlike many individuals. In scene 3, marie is having a conversation with michael about lombardi and she says, he loves him players. And i don"t mean he just likes them an awful lot. He truly, actually, loves them. michael responds back, he has a strange way of showing it. Marie in this scene is elevating lombardi"s character as she explained to the newspaper writer that lombardi comes off as a strict and heartless man but in reality he cares about his players so much. Lombardi doesn"t only care if his players play good but also about their daily health and restricts many places to look out for their well being and look out for the team.
