Document Summary
How has social class shaped your own life: my own social class has had negatives and positives. Being a female in this world, has not been the easiest thing. Being a female has brought an awareness on how to act around certain groups or people or certain times of the day. For example, walking alone at night, a girl is taught so many things from by the time she has reached the age of 10. Things like walk like you have somewhere to be, don"t walk with your headphones in, listen to your surroundings, etc. These are things that i was taught from the age of 5-10 and mastered by the age of 15/16. Now at 20 years old, there are things i think that i don"t even think of subconsciously. How has race/gender effected your own life: gender/race shapes everyone"s life. Being white, i have had the upper hand.
