Definitions and components: leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common foal, leadership is a process, leadership involves influence, leadership occurs in groups, leadership involves common goals. Trait versus process leadership: trait perspective suggests that certain individuals have special innate or inborn characteristics or qualities that make them leaders.
