Aim: to make life more: perfect, comprehensive, universal, and human. People want four things: pleasure: pleasure is desire. Natural, not to be turned from unless one is ready. People should not be hurt in the process of seeking pleasure: if pleasure is what you want, seek it intelligently . Viewed as a positive, legitimate desire in hinduism: desire tends to leave one unful lled because it is too privatized and eeting. Does western world encourage and facilitate a life of pleasure: i think so. In countries like australia, per se, time feels slower. Everyone seems at ease, they can do whatever they please. There is a greater sense of achievement and its more valuable than it is here: worldly success: fame, power & wealth. These wants can be precarious because so many people compete for them: these wants are unlike spiritual treasures.
