On tibia, there is a bump = medial malleolus (articulates with lateral) Medial malleolus is on the tibia which is on the inside of the foot. Lateral malleolus is on the fibula which is on the outsides of the foot. Curvature returns to normal after steps longer & wider as you step on foot. Ligaments & tendons which attach muscle to bone. There are two arches in the foot: transverse & longitudinal. When put weight on feet, your foot flattens & it gets a little longer & wider. If you take off the weight off the foot, the curvature returns. Knees absorb shock next after the foot. Menisci get abused & gets thinner & thinner. Articular cartilage covers ends of bones that work in a joint. Wear articular cartilage down & eventually it will be bone to bone.
