How not to make a short film: secrets of a sundance programmer. The key to every successful lm shoot is communication. Communication in the lm world is about over communication with everyone, everyone sees where everyone is at. For the most part everything has everything to do with everyone else. Costume gets a ected greatly by the ad department and when what costumes need to be ready it"s all very interconnected. You need to know that everything you have to share with the group is of great value. Initially (getting red) it"s often because what i"m talking about, communication or lack thereof. The not so great is being told that i think so, i hope so, you have to know. Delays cost thousands of dollars and you can"t a ord to lose a location or having screw-ups. There are no excuses for things not being done on time.
