They are put in a detention center, most of which are run by private companies, very similar to prisons. They can spend months to several years until their status is resolved and they are sent out, usually they are sent back home. It"s a very industrial types schedule, with nothing to do in between. Currently 6 facilities have hunger strikes going on, protesting these changes. People seeking asylum: narrative of people trying to come to a better life, gay men would photograph themselves having sex, to prove that they need asylum out of their own country. They have to prove they"re gay, by nding a partner quickly, and spend money in gay areas of cities and in bars. They are assumed to be doing this just to get refugee status. 1/500 immigrants are trans, 1/5 sexual assaults are against them.
