We don"t imprint but we are drawn by other humans. We don"t know because it wouldn"t be ethical to isolate a child to study attachment. Adoptive studies the longer kids are in institutional settings (orphanages, etc) the harder it is for them to adapt. Took new born monkeys and kept them in isolation from birth to six months, then they were put in social settings with other monkeys.
