Selective perception: see, hear, and believe only what you want to see, hear, Organize believe: once you focus on an event, you make sense of what is happening. Interpret: assign meaning to the events around you. If we have bias confirmation, we only like certain events or certain parts of events. It also depends on if we look at the event as a whole or determine it as separate/specific parts. Perception involves selecting, organizing, and interpreting events around you. Typically if you perceive something to be good, you will speak highly about it. Your view or perception of you topic will greatly affect the depth and information that will be given during your public speaking. Things you perceive to be interesting may actually be boring to you audience.
