Dendritic cells: engulf pathogens and activate lymphocytes. Antibodies: (works with antigens) sends out signals to rest of system. Memory t and b cells: remember pathogens to prevent future infection. Macrophages engulf predator (conveys danger to system) Histamine: dilation of blood vessels, heat, redness, and swelling (ex: fever/rash) White blood cells travel to area to attack (ex: pus) Chronic inflammation: continuous inflammation, makes you more susceptible to future inflammation. Cell mediated immune response: entire cell destroys antibody mediated immune response: macrophages infiltrate. People are now becoming immune to vaccinations, and are becoming susceptible to non-curable diseases. Immunizations: controversy over injecting diseases into the body. Government requires children to be immunized before attending school. Fear of outbreak, health care costs, quality of life . yet fear of side effects and harmful procedures.
