42 views2 pages

Document Summary

Fabric is stiff due to the starch and process to make it this way. Oxygen must be removed from the process to get the perfect print. After scouring and resizes, the fabric is still a yellow color. You need pure white in order to get the perfect print. They have these belts that move 24 inches and then it moves through the patterns and colors for the print. It kind of looks like a big paint roller box with the ink at one end and the brush going up and down the pattern. Roidery printing- rolled into a tube- can print up to fifteen colors. Each screen puts a different color on the fabric. The high temp causes a reaction and becomes permanent. Each station has a different water temp and chemical content. Print defects can be caused by many factors. Rolling is done after the process is inspected. Resist printing/ screen method- printed on both sides.
