Document Summary

Problem: in this lab we will need to arrange a given set of cards that contain a variety of information. These cards will need to be arranged into logical patterns of rows and columns. The pattern in cards can be used to inform about the periodic table of elements. Hypothesis: i hypothesize that if their atomic numbers are in order, then the rest of the patterns will follow. You will need to cut out all of the cards. Next put them in increasing order according to the atomic number. After that set them up according to the periodic table. Now find the 6 patterns, there will be more but you need to find three vertical and three. Record the patterns that you were able to find. Horizontal: increasing atomic mass, increasing pauling energy, atomic radius decreases. Vertical: increasing atomic mass, decreasing pauling energy, fluoride is the same.
