Status offenses : acts that are criminalized precisely because of the age of the offender. Ex. truancy, running away, tobacco, alcohol use) Delinquent offenses : acts that are analogous to adult crimes; violation of legal statutes. A dui or murder are the same no matter the age. Mala in se : illegal by their very nature; considered violations of natural law. Evil in of itself (rape, kidnapping, murder) - violate all understanding of what is right. Violate laws, but may not be morally evil (drinking, reckless driving, fake id, etc. ) Looked at oddly for a 45 year old. Seen as a genius at age 8. The value of a skill/crime/act is all relative. Nearly 100% of people engage in some sort of illegal behavior. This deviance is generally benign and will not be problematic. Most grow out of this antisocial behavior. But, for 5% of males this juvenile delinquency presents a pathological criminality and with never go away.
