Art on campus tour: floating world sculpture by artist ralph helmick in the biorenewables building is a striking piece with numerous elements of symbolism. I do not stop to analyze and appreciate the campus artwork like i do in a museum setting, but i would most likely spend more time appreciating the same pieces on campus if they were in a museum setting. Those who utilize art to practice visual literacy have demonstrated an ability to transfer these skills to other areas such as analyzing charts and data patterns. Art on campus is also used as a discussion tool demonstrated in the green dot collection in the react.
