Eastern us (sunflower, squash) 4,800 bp. Changes wrought by agriculture- hunting & gathering not a bad life. Must work hard, up to 18 hrs a day. Control of resources- h&g & periodic famines. Ramosin- expert in arch of death- goes to study tantharoid peope. Bury dead in stone monuments- believe ancestors inhabit stones. Ramosin then visits england, stonehenge built for ancestors. Moved to wooden make of stonehenge- one in wood one in stone. Has to do with meaning of materials.
