Limits to self-provisioning: not everyone has the time, skills, or want too. The vision is not that everyone does it, but more networks of self- provisioning: many costly things can"t be self-provisioned. Lowering working hours is not possible or dif cult to afford under current bau conditions: generally unaffordable for most at least currently. Collective provisioning of more goods and services: healthcare not connected to job. Implementing plentitude would allow us to live sustainable and satis able lives while reducing greenhouse gases. Growing evidence that makes the argument that the climate change we already have and will be facing, will already be costly. So doing nothing will be more costly in the long wrong. Productivity = how much output/ how many workers. In 1948-1973, productivity and hourly wage were increasing together.
