Last week there was a daycare worker on trial for murder because she left a boy on the playground with some other boys and when she came back he had hung himself with some twin. The jury found her not guilty and negligence. The interesting thing about the ga court system is that they sometimes don"t have to go up the chain of command, they can go straight to the supreme court. Superior court: split up by geography and they are called districts, main trail court in ga, judges are elected. Magistrate court: chief magistrate is elected in cobb county, and the others are appointed by the chief. Magistrate: in ga, it"s also known as people"s court, because a lot of the time they aren"t represented by lawyers.
