Can"t prove it but cannot disprove it either is pseudoscience. Cell theory- that all living things are made of one or more cells. Based on cell theory, any new organism would expected to have cells. Scientific theory- is a general explanation for important natural phenomena. ( tested over and over and over) lots of evidence but not necassarilly proven. Ex: everything made of atoms, gravity, cell theories. Scientific method: observation, question, hypothesis, prediction, experiment, conclusion. Review powerpoint as well!: based on observation why aren"t bacteria growing near the mold. Prediction- apart of hypothesis an prediction dealing with hypothesis. #check notes on powerpoint review and look over!!!! Replication: you should be able to replicate, someone else should be able to replicate as well. Bad: derive convlusions unsupported by your results exaggerate. conclusions justified. Can never be sure all untested variables are controlled. Conclusions based on the experimental data must remain tentative.
