They took their weapons and developed them even more. Used planes and tanks in a coordinated fashion. -not done to destroy but done to create fear. Panzer division they would concentrate the tanks all in one area. French had fortified their boundaries and didn"t think german could break through. They broke through an unprotected part of the border a heavily wooded area that was the borderline between france and belgium. June 24th 1950 french calls for an armistice. German occupied france (north of an imaginary line) Semi independent france (south of the imaginary line)
