Intranet network where employees communicate and collaborate. Extranet private network where third parties (suppliers, customers, etc) can communicate with employees in closed virtual space. Hyper text transfer protocol (http) protocol used by world wide web that defines how messages are formatted and received and what actions web servers and browsers should take in response to commands. Uniform resource locator (url) address address that defines the path to a facility or file on the web. Internet protocol (ip) address four sets of numbers separated by periods unique for every computer node and host attached to the internet.
