Italian referendum failure showed growing anti-european union sentiment and the weakness of the european union. Increased interdependence among countries i. e. the marshall plan. Global organization (i. e. the world trade organization, international criminal courts, etc. ,) Shared popular culture and global trends (ex: presence of ethnic foods across the world). Shared patterns: when countries are sharing the same or similar crises, trends and changes. The baby boomers across the world implemented radical change whether it be like americans and civil rights or the chinese cultural revolution. The british vote on june 23, 2016 to leave the european union. Brexit can be interpreted as a sign of global divisibility. Working class and country dwellers voted to leave while urban dwellers, the educated and the young voted to stay.
