Social darwinism: one person is better than another, therefore we should conquer the inferior beings. Decolonization: process in which empires withdraw their control from the colonies. Allows people to move up in socioeconomic status. Communism: for the people as a whole. Main players: china, korea, soviet union, japan and u. s. Vietnam: wanted to be its" own sovereign nation.
