Fact- the confirmation of an event or object. Information age- the present time, during which infinite quantities of facts are widely available to anyone who can use a computer. We now have a central system that all departments can use (interdependent) Management information systems (mis)- a business function which moves information about people, products, and processes across the company to facilitate decision-making & probem- solving *purpose of mis is not to gather data, goal is for management to make decisions* System- a collection of parts that link to achieve a common purpose. Feedback- information that returns to its original transmitter and modifies the transmitter"s actions.
