Of the liberty of thought and expression -- on liberty. Can"t incite a riot/public panic-bomb in airport or fire in a movie theatre. Speech should not be regulated or controlled by the government or by public opinion. We can never be sure that the opinion we are endeavouring to stifle is a false opinion. Even if we were sure that the opinion we are trying to stifle is false, stifling it would be an evil still. Some things we take to be true without question. Earth is round and revolves around the sun. Authority is necessary (doctor, government, teachers, army/police) When you have opposing views in politics, you need opposing elements for a healthy political state. Order and stability and progress and reform. Truth, in the great practical concerns of life, is so much a question of the reconciling and combining of opposites. When society is (and is not) justified in controlling the behavior of the individual.
