Document Summary
Abby downs: baseball: the goal of swinging the baseball bat is to generate as much force as possible to hit the baseball as far as possible. Gymnastics: the goal of flipping on the balance beam is to get all the way around and land back on the beam without moving in order to receive the highest score. Soccer: the goal of kicking the soccer ball is to exert as much force as achievable to be able to kick the ball as far as possible. An object in motion stays in motion until acted upon by force. The ball is thrown with force by a pitcher and the batter swings with force to hit the ball in the opposite direction. The batter swinging is the force acting on the object in motion. The harder the batter swings, the farther the ball can be hit. Gymnastics: gymnastics requires a lot of stability and balance.
