No 10- madison suggests that the most important advantage of a well-constructed union is its tendency to break and control the violence of factions. The first order of business is to define faction, explain the threat it possesses to the union, and discuss how to counter this threat. Democracy and republic- only a republic can cure the problem of faction"s without abandoning popular government. Madison would say that we are republic. Majority factions were the main concern for the people. Constitution- think about tea-party and the war power act.
