Dec 7 1941 ww2 changed the american culture and demised the swing era. The primary purpose of this music is dance. All the young men who were strong went to the war it included these band musicians too. It was kinda like a sin tax (tax on things that you are not supposed to do i. e tax on cigs) It was called automatic pin setter (its for bowling) So people instead of going to the night clubs they went to bowling alleys and that ended the era of swing. The v discs (petroleum black big discs were created and the radio stations started pla(cid:455)i(cid:374)g it a(cid:374)d these (cid:449)ere do(cid:374)ated so the(cid:455) did(cid:374)"t ha(cid:448)e to pa(cid:455) for a(cid:374)(cid:455) of it. The music refused to record and went on strike.
