Document Summary

The sun also rises (book 2 and 3) Lots of ceremony, celebration in the next part of the novel. Bullfighting is seen as the catholic church, the religion to the characters in the novel. Knows what to do and what not to do. Lived life to the fullest; no fear. Hemingway himself died in a manly way (as he perceived) by shooting himself with his favorite rifle. He found out he was sick and did not want to be needy and relying on others, so he killed himself. Romero, the bullfighter, was beaten up by robert. He gets up and takes the hits and gets up the next day to fight bulls. This shows he"s a man and that he is the code. He also wants brett to grow her hair out. He has old fashioned ideas of what a woman should be, but brett does not want that.
