As an international student from china, i started my english learning journey at the age of ten. I learned basic english grammar rules and vocabulary in school, but english was never spoken in my daily life. When i was fourteen, i made an important decision to go to high school in the united states. After taking a sixteenth-hour flight, i arrived at boston logan airport; my life was changed significantly at the moment i stepped on this foreign land. English native speakers, i quickly improved my english speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills. When i first came to the united states, i went to a public high school as a freshman for one semester. Even though one semester was not a long time, it was enough to improve my poor. Being the first and only international student in that high school, i was different from everyone else.
