Game culture and media synergy: synergy: the interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects. Gaming stages (micro to macro: oh wow, i can do this at all! The first tv game was called pong barry used to hustle pong when he worked at a department store in the major appliances section. People liked it because it was novel to use a tv for something other than watching. The first computer game was called zork. This first stage is about how people liked rudimentary games because they were new: simulation of real world play. 4-bit or 8-bit versions of sports (like boxing) As gaming became more popular, game producers began to release better, more complicated games. Computing power increased and with it, the power to render moving graphics: media fantasy. Video gaming became so big that they began to invent storylines.
