A set of expected behaviour patterns, obligations, and privileges attached to a particular social status. How things are organised in media organisations. Roles and routines are part of organisational (cid:862)(cid:272)ulture(cid:863) Photographers have different roles, with different sets of tasks, expectations, and norms. Basically, they are reporters who take photos. Advertising photographers: norms of obtrusiveness and technical mastery. They are socialised in different cultural contexts. News reports are remarkably similar across the media. The order that the news is delivered in, the sources it comes from, etc.
